Thoughts and Prayers for Joe Sayers

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of SSGT Joe Sayers, a Vietnam Veteran, who went on our May 9 flight to see the Vietnam Memorial. He is in the hospital with complications from an illness.

From our photographer

From our photographer, Joel Christopherson:
Last night was one of those sunsets when you feel like you're alone in a huge room, and a Master Painter like has a beautiful canvas painting on the walls and ceiling. Then, slowly, He begins painting, first the ceiling, then the walls... What was a beautiful work of art transforms into something even more beautiful, more poignant. Slowly the room is shaped into a living masterpiece. As the colors dance around the room, I felt smaller and smaller. I felt as though the canvas was something much bigger than my imagination. He created something so beautiful I could only stand in awe.

Upcoming Flights

We will have 2 flights this fall, one on Wed, October 10, and one on Tues, Oct 16. At this time, both flights are booked with 26 WWII vets each along with guardians. We are fully funded for the October 10 flight but are still looking for donations to fully fund our October 16 flight! A $1000 donation will sponsor a veteran. Won't you consider making a donation to this worthy cause!!

If you are reading this, thank a teacher! If you are reading this in English, thank a WWII veteran!

Happy VJ Day

Today is VJ Day, the day that the Japanese surrendered to end WWII. It is a day we should all remember and be thankful to the men and women who served, and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice! God Bless the Greatest Generation and God Bless America!!
